I’m a senior creative director and designer from Brooklyn. I have a healthy obsession with the visual world, be that a beautifully made object, or a carefully crafted brand image. I've always believed that people can tell when something is made with care and with their time in mind.
I’m listed in the 100 Book, compiling the 100 most exciting practicing designers. I’m a few pages away from David Carson, James Victore, Milton Glaser and Jonathan Barnbrook. And I’m humbled to be listed in the same pages as Paul Rand.
I’ve lived and worked in Prague, London, Chicago, Boston, and NYC. Alongside my work in advertising, I’ve done everything from designing books for Gavin Turk and Damien Hirst, to conceptualizing and creating a pilot for a show which is now part of X-Games.
My entry into advertising happened when the legendary Mark Tutssel took me under his wing. “People like you, designers,” he would say, “are the future of the business.” I’ve always been a sucker for encouraging words.
My creative philosophy is pretty simple. I believe good creative relies on relevance. In order to break through we have to be part of the right conversation, in the right channel, at the right time. Whether that’s a TV spot, an app, social media campaign, improving the customer experience, or something else entirely. We have to fish where the fish are.
When I'm not working, I have a borderline unhealthy obsession with skiing, surfing, heirloom tomatoes and dogs…because dogs are the fucking best.
