The Masters experience
The Masters is an event like no other, and so required a viewing experience unlike any other. Working with Augusta National Golf Club, we created a mobile and web experience that rivaled the in-person experience of being at The Masters. The experience was truly multi-channel, designed to run on the web, as well as natively on Android, iOS and Apple TV.
The Masters app is one of the most downloaded sports apps on the app store, and continues to be the benchmark experience for live sporting events.
Imaginary Forces teamed with the Watson group at IBM as part of a core innovation team. We advanced Augusta National’s history of being first to market with innovative audience tools, and evolving how sporting events are enjoyed in the modern era.
As part of our innovation push, we rolled out the first-ever real time shot tracker tournament-wide with a 10 second latency. The entirety of ANGC was recreated in immaculate detail as an 8K 3D render.

Your viewing experience revolves around your favorite players, much the same way you'd follow their group around the grounds of Augusta National on tournament weekend. Along the way you can view their scorecard, shot stats, and highlight videos from earlier in the tourney.
Customized video feeds allow you to follow your favorite player’s group on every hole, from the beginning of the tournament to the end.
Even within highlights sections, the focus is on the game, allowing you to browse while watching every stroke.
A news feed shows breaking news from across the tournament, including rich infographics, stunning photography and video from the day’s events.
